Dr. Potolicchio has over five decades of experience evaluating and treating patients with neurological conditions. He sees patients with a wide variety of issues, from sleep disorders to insomnia, seizures and epilepsy, MS, Parkinson’s, nerve issues, stroke, memory impairment — the list is long and Dr. Potolicchio has treated many conditions. Over his long tenure, Dr. Potolicchio has also taught and mentored hundreds of medical students at both Georgetown University School of Medicine and GW School of Medicine & Health Sciences, many of whom are now practicing physicians.
“Dr. P” (as his med students affectionately called him) takes time with his patients and answers their myriad questions with knowledge and caring. He uses his experience and analytical skills to get to the heart of, and figure out a treatment for, a patient’s issues. Dr. Potolicchio makes himself available to his patients — he is unlike many specialists, where a patient has to wait months to book an appointment. Dr. Potolicchio keeps spots open on his schedule — patients are usually able to book an office visit within a week or two to see him and get the assistance they need.
In addition to office visits, Dr. Potolicchio works with certified in-office technicians who perform electroencephalogram (EEG), SSEP, and nerve conduction (EMG) tests. Dr. Potolicchio personally oversees and reviews the test results, and discusses them with his patients.
